Nokia N900 Review

Phones Review : The name falls N900 "Internet Tablet", the choice to move forward with "mobile equipment" as this model is substituted for the N810, launched back in 2007. 2-over years and the landscape of Internet-savvy mobile devices has changed. Can this trade blows Nokia Pocket PC with the best of them?

In the hand, the N900 is something of a monkey with pieces measuring 110.9 x 59.8 x 18mm. Aligned against the likes of Dexter Motorola / CLIQ is rather fat, weight 181 g, towards the upper end of the handhelds.

The N900 is to be used in the landscape, taking advantage of the 3.5-inch, 800 x 480 pixels, resistive touch screen, adapted to their side sliding design. The keyboard has rubber keys of a reasonable size, which later, but built with the quality of confidence.

Stitches in landscape format and work around the body of the N900 you'll find on the left side features a micro USB connector and a pair of stereo speakers, another game right. The right side also gives you a rare screen lock slider, a 3.5mm AV jack and stylus, which runs along the bottom edge.

The top then he gets a dedicated camera button, a small central power device control button, and volume / zoom rocker. The middle button is really useful, allowing you to lock or unlock the N900, access to phone features, change the profile and so on.

You'll notice we've been talking all the phone in landscape. That's because the N900 really is not a happy puppy in the picture, there is limited support for the interaction picture. Closed with the N900 will get the phone in portrait mode, but little else, not even the customizable home page. We are accustomed to the content of our devices to adapt to change how they celebrated.

As a phone that works well, with easy access to contacts on a large screen on the scoreboard. A proximity sensor kills the screen when you are near the head pull the phone away to be presented in the call options. The sound quality was good, but a hard edge around the screen is a bit uncomfortable.

HTC HD2 Review

Phones Review : Today, HTC announced that the HD2 is now available in Europe and Asia for mass consumption. While we are happy for our friends to the east we are even more excited that HTC has confirmed that the HD2 “would be available in the United States with a major US carrier in early 2010″. We’ve heard the rumors that T-mobile and Verizon would be launching Android-based versions of the HD2, but HTC officially dismissed that rumor so now the question becomes which US carrier will feature the Windows Mobile HD2? With an early 2010 release we suspect the device will maintain its GSM core and simply add US 3G bands which suggests either At&t or T-mobile. Seeing as T-mobile has become the carrier for all things Android this leads us to believe At&t would get the device. On the other end of the spectrum we couldn’t help but notice the Windows Phone commercials for the Verizon Wireless Imagio, something we haven’t seen by any other US carrier. Keeping in mind that Verizon has publicly stated that they are going to attack the smartphone market aggressively through the end of 2009 and into 2010, we are back at square one. Who do you think is getting the HD2 in the US?

Samsung GT-C6625v Review

Phones review : I was recently given one of the new Samsung GT-C6625v mobile phones to play with. It’s aimed at the office worker who needs email on the move and with the monthly tariff starting at £7.50 per user it could be a very attractive option for companies looking to reduce costs.

The phone itself is very BlackBerryish with a full QWERTY keyboard below the 2.6” screen. It runs Windows Mobile and integrates with a company’s existing Microsoft Exchange Server for email, you get the usual mobile Office applications for reading and editing document, spreadsheets, etc.

The phone feels quite light weight and comfy, fitting my hand well (even if it is pretty large (the phone, not my hand)). It was a bit confusing trying to get into different applications as you had to get to entertainment before arriving at the camera, which is not where I would normally look for it. Overall it is certainly worth checking out if you have an office full staff that need email on the move.

The product specification and pricing information can be found on the vodafone site.
